Health & Safety
Your health and well-being is of paramount importance to us here at McGorgeous Face & Body Art and that’s why we ensure that:
-
All of our materials and products used in our face painting are of cosmetic grade and manufactured to E.U. standards.
-
TAG, Diamond FX, Superstar, Global Colours and Kryolan are just some of the many reputable professional cosmetic and theatrical make-up brands that we use.
-
We use one sponge per person to avoid cross contamination.
-
Water used for cleaning brushes is changed regularly.
-
Sponges are washed using antibacterial detergents at 60° Celsius.
-
Brushes are washed with specialist antibacterial cleansing products.
-
We only use facial wipes on your delicate faces and never baby wipes that are designed for bottoms. Strange but true!
-
To keep your skin in tip-top condition, we won’t further aggravate any broken or irritated skin i.e. blemishes, acne, rashes, cold sores, eczema, psoriasis, etc. We’ll be more than happy to adorn another non-affected part of your body for you instead.
-
We try our utmost best to look after your skin by only using professional grade products. However, we can never fully eliminate the possibility of rare allergic reactions occurring. Should this happen, we strongly recommend removing the face paint immediately and seeking medical advice without delay.
-
Our face paints can be easily removed with mild soap, warm water and a good flannel. Occasionally, deeper pigments may require a second wash. Glitter tattoos can be gently removed used oil based lotions or alcohol wipes that you find in first aid kits.
-
As artists with integrity, we never ‘correct’ other artists work as we can’t guarantee the quality or standard of the materials used. Sorry!
-
Children aged 16 and under are always the sole responsibility of their accompanying adult.
-
We’re as safe as houses to have around because we all have Public Liability Insurance, have comprehensive risk assessments in place, and are Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checked.
-
We only adorn toddlers aged 3 years old and above due to the nature of their delicate and sometimes sensitive skin. Please note, that having your face painted can be a fairly ticklish experience and so having the back of a hand adorned instead may be tolerated better by some younger children.
-
We recycle and responsibly dispose of any waste we create as we deliver our professional services. We’re passionate about the environment and sustainability so we have made a commitment to ensure that by the end of 2020 all of the fabulous glitters that we use to add that extra touch of pizzazz will be 100% biodegradable.
